Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data 2020 Apps SIA collects through our mobile apps and the website 2020apps.io, why, and what choices you have. It applies to every app we publish on the App Store under the name 2020 Apps SIA.
The short version
- What you write or record in our apps (journals, check-ins, health readings, history) stays on your device.
- Most of our apps have no account with us. Where you sign in to another service through an app, you do it on that service’s own page, and we never see your password.
- We never sell your data, and we never use health data for advertising.
- We use a small number of service providers for purchases and anonymous app analytics. We ask before any tracking.
1. Who we are
The controller of your personal data is 2020 Apps SIA, a company registered in Latvia (“2020 Apps”, “we”, “us”). For any privacy question or request, write to support@go2020apps.io.
2. Data that stays on your device
Content you create in our apps, such as journal entries, check-ins, goals, plans, settings and usage history, is stored locally on your device. We do not receive it. If you have device backups turned on, this data may be included in your backup under your device provider’s privacy policy. Deleting an app, or using its “Delete all data” option where available, removes this data from your device.
3. Health data
Some apps ask for permission to read data from the Health app on your device, for example heart rate variability, heart rate, sleep and activity. You choose which data types to share, and you can change this at any time in your device settings.
- Health data is read and processed on your device to show you scores, trends and insights.
- We do not send Health data to our servers or to third parties, and we do not include it in analytics.
- We never use Health data for advertising or marketing, and we never sell it.
4. Signing in to other services
Some of our apps help you manage your own account on another service. In that case you sign in on that service’s own login page, shown inside the app. We never see or store your password. The session that service creates is kept in the app’s private storage on your device and is used only for the actions you ask for. You can disconnect in the app’s settings or by deleting the app. That service’s own terms and privacy policy apply to your account there.
5. Data we process
- Purchases. Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by the app store you downloaded the app from. We do not see your payment details. We receive a confirmation of your purchase and subscription status (product, dates, country, a transaction ID), sometimes through our subscription provider, so the app can unlock paid features.
- App analytics. Some apps send anonymous usage events (for example, “onboarding completed” or “paywall shown”), device model, operating system version, app version, country and a random app ID, so we can see what works and fix what doesn’t. These events never include your journal text, check-in answers or Health data.
- Ad attribution. If an app is advertised in an app store, the app may receive an anonymous attribution token that tells us which campaign led to the download. It does not identify you.
- Tracking. We only link app data with data from other companies’ apps or websites for advertising if you allow it when your device asks for permission to track. You can change this any time in your device’s privacy settings.
- AI features. Where an app offers an AI chat or assistant, the text you send is passed to our AI provider to generate a reply. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to identify you.
- Crash reports. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, we receive anonymous crash and performance reports.
- Email. If you write to us or join a waitlist, we use your email address and message only to reply or to send the notice you asked for.
6. Service providers
We work with a small number of trusted service providers that help us run our apps and website, for example with payments and subscriptions, anonymous app analytics, crash reporting and web hosting. They process data only on our instructions and under a contract, and receive only what they need for that task. You can ask us for the current list at support@go2020apps.io.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our users’ safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
7. Legal bases
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we rely on: performance of our contract with you (delivering the app and the features you bought); your consent (tracking, health data access, optional notifications, which you can withdraw at any time); and our legitimate interests in keeping our apps secure and improving them through anonymous analytics.
8. International transfers
Some providers process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where they do, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. How long we keep data
On-device data stays until you delete it or the app. Analytics events are kept for up to 24 months. Purchase records are kept as long as accounting law requires. Support emails are kept for up to two years after the conversation ends.
10. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or to correct, delete or restrict it, to object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format. Because most data never leaves your device, in practice this mostly covers emails you sent us and analytics linked to your app ID. Write to support@go2020apps.io; we reply within one month. You can also complain to the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija, dvi.gov.lv) or to the data protection authority where you live.
11. Security
We keep the data we receive to a minimum, use encrypted connections, and limit access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
12. Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EU). Apps about alcohol, smoking or gambling are meant for adults only. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Website
2020apps.io does not use advertising trackers or marketing cookies. Our host may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser, time of visit) for security, for a limited period.
14. Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also let you know in the app.
